The Reviews block is different from the existing Rating block, which stays exactly as it was, a static list of testimonials you type in yourself, still the right choice for hand picked press quotes or curated praise. Reviews is for real, visitor generated content: an actual site visitor fills in their own name, a one to five star rating, and a written review, right from your published page.
Nothing shows up until you approve it
A submitted review is never shown on your site right away. It waits as pending until you approve or reject it from your project's own Reviews tab in the editor workspace, a simple list with an approve, reject, and delete button per review. Only reviews you have approved are ever fetched and shown by the block on your published site, and an average rating and total count are shown alongside them automatically, computed from whatever is currently approved.
Turning submissions off
Each Reviews block has its own toggle for whether it is currently accepting new submissions. Turning it off hides the submission form without touching any review you have already approved, useful if you want to stop taking new reviews for a page without losing the ones already showing.
The same anti spam protection as everywhere else
Submitting a review uses the exact same protection as every other public facing submission block in this app: rate limiting per visitor, a hidden honeypot field, and Cloudflare Turnstile, so this needs no separate setup from you. You can also turn on an email notification for each new submission, once you have connected your own Resend account from Integrations.
Tip: A submitted review includes a visitor's own name and their written review, real personal data about someone other than you. Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy cover your own responsibilities as the one collecting it.
